Core Objectives of NMI

Praying – Interceding for leaders and churches and for the Holy Spirit to draw all people to Christ.

Discipling – Involving and mentoring future missions leaders, especially youth and children to make Christlike disciples for God’s mission in the nations.

Giving – Devoting ourselves and our resources, especially World Evangelism Fund, to extend Christ’s kingdom.

Educating – Informing people of the world’s needs and enabling our church to meet those needs in Christ.

OUR MISSIONARIES:

Our LINKS missionaries for 2017-18 are Andrew and Gina Pottenger. They serve in Manchester, UK. Andrew is completing his PhD in church history to fulfill his call for theological education. He has taught at European Nazarene College and pastored in Busingen. Gina is serving as a managing editor for

Engage

magazine for the denomination’s global missions. Prior to UK, Gina worked at the Global Headquarters in publication for NMI and JESUS Film. She also worked as a journalist for local newspapers.

Our own missionaries, David and Kelly Teachout, are serving in Cambodia through Center for Global Impact. After a short break this summer, they will be working at the Green Mango, a rescue mission for girls using culinary arts, education, and spiritual guidance to prepare them for a better life. Kelly will co-direct the school and David will co-direct the restaurant.

Another missionary family linked to GP are Jason and Karen Courtney who are serving in Honduras with Nazarene Mission Corp. This means they are not funded by the denomination and have to raise their support. GP is helping with that through your Faith Promise giving. Jason works as Work & Witness coordinator and Karen home-schools their three children.

WHAT IS FAITH PROMISE?

Our church raises funds for global missions annually through Faith Promise – a commitment between you and God made in faith to support global efforts to share the gospel and God’s love. Our denomination supports over 700 missionaries in 169 countries and includes funding medical facilities, schools, literature and media, and compassionate care. Locally we support our missionaries, Shepherd Community mission, and work & witness projects. If you missed the last fundraising event, you may give anytime through the Website or offerings noted “Missions”.

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Matthew 28:18-20.
